Rabbi Ilay Ofran is the rabbi of Kvutzat Yavneh, a cooperative religious kibbutz, the head of the Ruach HaSadeh pre-military academy (mechina), and a member of the Public Council of “Harashut Hashniya” for Television and Radio. He is a psychologist by training who volunteers at assistance centers for men who are victims of sexual abuse in the religious community. He is a writer and an opinion leader for his thousands of followers on social media. During his military service, he served in the Field Intelligence Corps, and today he is a reserve officer in the Home Front Command. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and Talmud from Bar-Ilan University and an M.A. in Medical Psychology from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo. He lives in Kibbutz Kvutzat Yavneh.
