Inbal Djamchid, singer and composer in the field of contemporary Middle Eastern music and lecturer at the Center for Middle Eastern Classical Music. Inbal is a soloist and composer of the Ecoute ensemble that she founded together with Gilad Vaknin, an active Jerusalem ensemble that has produced five albums and performs throughout the country. In recent years she has also recorded music independently and participated in a range of projects as a composer (music for plays, podcasts at Kan Podcasts, and more). She has also taught music over the years in various educational frameworks, schools, and conservatories. studied in the music track at the Israel Arts and Science Academy, and holds a BA in composition, an MA in poetry from the multi-disciplinary department, where she studied Arabic poetry with Sami Kheshaiboun, and an additional MA in musical education, all from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Raised and lives in Jerusalem.
