Laila is director of young adults field at AJEEC-NISPED (Negev Institute for Strategies of Peace and Development), which offers a gap year program for young people from the Arab community as a springboard for social and economic mobility. Previous to that she was a facilitator in Maoz, a colleague in Mandel Leadership Institute and the director of the Ofek program at Ma’ase non-profit organization, that offers Arab young adults an opportunity to volunteer for a year of service in their communities. Laila holds a B.A. in social work from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an M.A. in social work, specializing in organization management from the University of Haifa. She lives in Kafr Kanna.
