Omri Marcus is a creative director, scriptwriter, and heads an international community of comedy writers, Comedy for a Change. He has been involved in the development and writing of major entertainment shows on Israeli TV, among them the long-time hit, Eretz Nehederet (Wonderful Country). In 2009, the Format Academy for Entertainment, Television, and New Media (EMC) granted Marcus its prestigious fellowship, through which he studied content, storytelling, development, and TV around the world. Omri lectures worldwide on content and regularly writes editorials about Israeli current affairs for the Israeli, American, and European press. Marcus was a senior creative partner at the Red Arrow European Media Corporation. In 2021 he served as creative manager of the Meretz party campaign. In his spare time, he is head of communications at Eye from Zion, a humanitarian organization that performs eye surgeries in third-world countries. A father of two, he lives in Tel Aviv.
