Orit Bar-Or, Director of Formal Education at TALI – a center for pluralistic Israeli Jewish education; she also develops and heads the Meorot program, a groundbreaking research program to examine the development of pluralistic thinking and behavior among children, in collaboration with the University of Haifa lab for pluralism. Previously Orit served as a school principal at a nine-year school at Hod Hasharon and won prizes and certificates of appreciation for promoting the education of values to the future generation. Orit holds a BA in education from Beit Berl College and an MA in Jewish studies from Ono Academic College. She also participated in a delegation of Jewish and Arab school principals to Switzerland. Orit believes that the educational process she is entrusted with together with educators throughout the country will lead to the change she strives to promote, and she works to foster connections, social cohesion, and social pluralism between educators, administrators, and students. Lives in Tzur Yigal-Kochav Yair.
