Shmuel Shattach, the Director of Dor – The Center for Religious Education, committed to moderation and tolerance. Dor works to imbue the next generation with a commitment to Torah, together with openness to meet the challenges of the world, working in policy, community, education and in creating communal language. Shmuel is also a member of the Public Council of The Second Authority for Television and Radio. In his former position he served as the CEO of Ne’emanei Torah Va’Avodah, A Modern Orthodox Movement, for 17 years. Prior to that he worked in the formal and informal education system, was a parliamentary assistant in the Knesset in matters of education, religion and state, and was an envoy in the U.S. for some years. Shmuel holds a B.A. in education, another B.A. in logistics, an M.A. in public management and policy studies for senior directors from Tel-Aviv University, and a graduate of the Directors’ program. Lives in Lod, married, and has 6 children.
