Tami Nahmias Yohanan, VP of Communities at the Or Movement. Prior to that she was a senior management team member at Elem, an Israeli N.G.O working with youth and juveniles at risk, and directs the organization’s youth employment and mentoring for independent living field. Before, she was involved in the development and establishment of social programs in the Negev: founding and managing the Kav Hazinuk branch in Sde Boker, establishing of the Youth Center in Netivot, and founding the Bney Makom Community, a social program empowering local leadership. Tami holds a B.A. in social work and an M.S.W in community social work, both from Ben Gurion University. She holds a certificate in group facilitation from Tel Aviv University. Born and raised in Netivot, Tami now lives with her partner and three children in the Gaza border community of Netiv HaAsara due to her connection to the community in the area and the landscapes of the Northern Negev.
