Tanya Gilboa, director of community relations and business development at the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel. Previously she served as CEO of Ta’ir – the Shfela region rape crisis center. Tanya is a passionate social activist in the field of women’s rights, an expert in sexual trauma, and a lecturer in this field. She holds a BA in special education and literature from Kibbutzim College, an MA in psychology of education from the University of London, and a diploma in humanistic approach therapy. In London she volunteered at the Jewish community hotline. Tanya believes in the importance of recognizing the other’s differences as a basis for cultivating an equal society and in the power of connecting people, communities, and cultures. Tanya was born in Uzbekistan (FSU), and lives with her partner Noam and their two sons in moshav Kfar Uriya.
