Zilit, the chairperson of Bat Melech, a non-profit organization that operates shelters for battered women who come from religious & ultra-orthodox backgrounds and a lawyer. In addition, Zilit gives lectures to various institutes in order to raise awareness to violence against women and promotes gender and family issues in the Israeli parliament. She co-founded the Israeli Talmud, an educational project that teaches children the Talmud. As part of her work she represented children and families of victims of sexual abuse and violence in trails. Zilit holds a B.A. and an M.A. in law, with honors, from Bar-Ilan University and a family mediator certificate from Gome Institute. She lives in Giv’at Shmuel.
She is a co-founder of the Co.Lab Initiative: Online sign language course.
